We have to say we were quite surprised when Hyundai announced it would be turning the Genesis into its own separate luxury sub-brand and the move quickly had us wondering what type of vehicle would be created for the line. The premium G90 full-size sedan was the first to rear its head and now there’s word a collection of plug-in hybrids will soon join the roster.

Hyundai has officially partnered with American tech company Cisco in an effort to accelerate the development of connected car technology. The two companies will work together to establish Hyundai’s next-generation of in-vehicle networks, which will help further efforts in car connected technology and lead to the creation of safer, high-quality cars, trucks and SUVs.

Vincentric, an automotive research firm, recently handed out Best Value in America Awards to the 2016 Hyundai Elantra and 2016 Hyundai Veloster. Each model was praised for its low cost of ownership after being evaluated in eight different areas, including insurance, depreciation, fuel and financing.
