For a Halloween scare that you'll never forget, visit Springfield’s spookiest spot – Hotel of Terror. Open to the public through Oct. 31, this place features a variety of goblins, ghouls and various other creatures of the night that are poised on scaring the daylights out of you.
As you make your way through the windy, dark hallways inside this heart-pounding venue, be sure to have someone or something to grab onto, as there will be various characters jumping out at you when you least expect it. Here, you’ll also hear nightmarish music and see high-tech lighting, which help set the tone of this horrific hotel.
For younger kids, there will be a Kid’s Night event on Oct. 23 and Oct. 30, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. During this family-friendly affair, you and your child will search for hidden treasure on all four floors using a flashlight. The first night (Oct. 23), will be themed Pirates of the Seas, while the second and last Kid’s Night is going to be a Wild West Ghost Town theme.
