What are the Benefits of OEM Parts vs Aftermarket Parts?
Higher Quality
There are several key differences between OEM and aftermarket parts. One major difference between the two is quality. OEM parts are produced by the original car manufacturer, and each part is designed to fit the precise model and trim that needs a part replaced. Once OEM parts come off the assembly line, they must go through a rigorous inspection to make sure they pass safety, performance, and quality criteria.
Quality is a concern for aftermarket parts, however, as they are not subject to the same stringent regulations as OEM parts. Many aftermarket parts are mass-produced in a setting where there is little or no oversight into production quality. Ultimately, you can end up with a part that works fine, but you can also get one that causes you tremendous problems. Since you don't have that uncertainty with OEM parts, why take the risk?
Strong OEM Support for OEM Parts
When you come to us to have a part in your Hyundai replaced, you will get the benefit of having the assurance of two entities that want your car to look and feel its best. For starters, the OEM part that we put in your car generally comes with a one-year industry standard warranty. Some parts have an even longer warranty period. This means that if the component breaks within its warranty period, you can come back to us and have it replaced at no additional cost.
You won't get a warranty with an aftermarket part, however, as they are not built to meet any specific industry standard. This means that if you don't have a sympathetic mechanic installing the part, you are on your own to cover expenses associated with a replacement.
Made for Your Hyundai
When you have an OEM part installed in your car, it will be the exact same part as you had originally. Your car will ultimately look the same and feel the same when you drive it. Since we keep a large inventory of OEM parts in stock, it's easy to walk in and order one when the part needs replacement. This process becomes much more difficult – if not impossible – when you are dealing with aftermarket parts, as they have a generic fit, and it can take quite a bit of time to find one that fits your car.
