It rained and it poured, but that didn't stop over 3,000 people from attending this year's Oktoberfest Village at Taste of Springfield - sponsored by Reliable at Chestnut & 65. Mother Nature made her presence known early in the day with afternoon showers, but by 6 p.m. it was clear skies and downtown Springfield was ready to rock!
The U.S. government shutdown has left many on unpaid leave and with no way to cover their expenses, including car payments.
