Due to an outpouring of positive feedback, Reliable at Chestnut and 65 decided to bring back the Celebrity Spokes Dog Contest for another year! Beginning on November 19, 2015, local dog owners can enter their pet into the "pup-ular" contest for the chance to have their dog named Reliable's official spokes dog and to appear in TV, online and print ads for our dealership throughout 2016!

Reliable is celebrating Halloween in a big way this year: we're hosting an extravagant Pet Halloween Costume Contest! During the month of October, we're encouraging our customers to submit a photo of their pet companion dressed in a cute, scary or creative Halloween costume for a chance to win cash prizes and gift cards both owner and pet will enjoy.

Reliable at Chestnut and 65 would like to thank everyone who participated in our teacher nomination contest held last month. We received a lot of great stories about some of your favorite teachers throughout the Springfield area and we’re excited to announce that Michele Pate, a fourth grade teacher at Stockton Elementary School, is our grand prize winner!

All month long Reliable at Chestnut and 65 has been celebrating the new school year by giving community members the chance to nominate their favorite teacher! We've had a blast reading all of the wonderful submissions, but with September quickly approaching, we're sad to announce that Sunday, August 23, will be your last chance to enter your favorite teacher into the contest.

Looking for a fun way to beat the heat this summer? Take part in Springfield's Habitat Home Run and Water Balloon Fight scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 22 at Price Cutter! A perfect summer activity for the whole family, this unique run features a series of water zones, where participants will be hit with super soakers, water blasters and various water toys.

Reliable is happy to support the Springfield community and local organizations that help make our city a better place. One organization we are highly fond of is Ozarks Food Harvest, a Feeding America food bank that serves over 200 nonprofits across the Ozarks. Throughout the month of June, we have decided to encourage our customers to help us collect donations for the food bank and contribute to their efforts.

KTTS will be holding their always popular annual June Jam concert extravaganza on Wednesday, June 17 at Gillioz Theatre. Headlining this year's one-night-only event are country starlets Maddie and Tae! The darling duo, which have gained a whirlwind of success over the past year with their hit debut single, "Girl in a Country Song," will be joined at June Jam by rising country stars Brothers Osborne and Cam.

Longtime art fans will be pleased to know that Southwest Missouri's largest fine arts festival, Artsfest, will once again be open to the public May 2-3 on Historic Walnut Street. An annual event garnering a wide range of spectators each year, Artsfest will showcase artwork from over 140 artists during its two-day run. From ceramics and paintings to drawings and sculptures, there will be a variety of art forms for attendees to view at this year’s festival.

Jurassic Quest is a realistic, interactive dinosaur exhibit that allows families to get up close and personal with some of the world's most well-known prehistoric creatures. Coming to the Springfield Exposition Center Mar. 13-15, this kid-centric event will feature more than 50 life-size, animatronic dinosaurs, and over 11 different activities/attractions for children and adults to take part in.

Enjoy fantastic food, drinks and live bands at the 34th Annual Sertoma Chili Cook-Off! Scheduled to be held Feb. 27-28 at the Springfield Expo Center, this annual event celebrates all things chili related by having some of the best of the best cooks in the area go head to head in a chili cook-off.
