Why Is My Car Not Starting?

Your Battery
Under the hood of your vehicle, a battery is used during the startup process of your engine. It also helps run other parts of your automobile, such as the lights. We will check your battery to see if it currently has a charge. If not, this could be because you left something on overnight that drained the battery. You could also be dealing with a dead battery. We'll attempt to charge the battery, and we'll check to see if the charge is being held.
The Ignition
Once we've confirmed that your battery is not to blame for the problems with your startup, we'll take a look at your ignition. This switch can break or malfunction, just like any other part of your automobile. We'll know to check the ignition if your lights are working and the battery is fine, but the engine still isn't turning over.
A Faulty Starter
This small electric motor connected to your vehicle's battery is a necessary part of your automobile's startup process. If anything fails with your starter, you should listen for a clicking sound when pressing the ignition switch. You won't hear the engine starting at all.
Fuel Filter Needs Replacing
We change the oil filter in your vehicle with each oil change, and your cabin air filter gets changed periodically as well. Your fuel filter is another part that can become clogged over time. We recommend that you have your fuel filter replaced once every 20,000 to 30,000 miles. The frequency may be less depending on the technology in your specific make and model of vehicle.
Gas Tank is Empty
It's easy to neglect your fuel tank, even when you're driving your automobile each day. If you've missed the alert that your vehicle has been giving you regarding low fuel and you're now stuck at home or work, you'll need to find a way to get a gas tank of fuel into your automobile.
