The 2022 Santa Cruz is an all-new car from Hyundai. But unlike many cars that are new additions to their class, the Santa Cruz belongs to a class of its own. The Santa Cruz is defined as a "Sport Adventure Vehicle," and it certainly lives up to its name. The Hyundai Santa Cruz has a rugged exterior frame with the open-air cab of a pickup truck but the prowess and creature comforts of an SUV. There are two engines available for the Santa Cruz so that you can choose your preferred power level, and it is full of amenities such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen interface, comfortable seats, and high-quality materials.

2022 Santa Cruz Comes With an Amazing Array of Features

The 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz offers four trim levels. The SE trim level comes with a standard eight-inch touchscreen interface. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard. The base trim has soft-touch materials for a pleasant ride, and it comes with a 4.3-foot truck bed. The second trim in the Santa Cruz is called the SEL. The SEL upgrades to a 10.25-inch standard touchscreen interface. It also adds a Bluelink-connected system. The SEL has a proximity key entry system and a push-button start. Heated seats are standard, and the driver's seat is eight-way adjustable. Lumbar support enhances the seat's comfort level. On the outside, the SEL comes with heated side mirrors that have integrated turn signals.

The SEL Premium adds an auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone temperature control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter. The next trim is the Limited, which has a Bose sound system and is available with 20-inch wheels. Dark chrome exterior accents give the trim a distinguished look and its upholstery upgrades to premium perforated leather seating.

Santa Cruz Performance

There are two engines offered for the 2022 Santa Cruz. Its base engine is a 2.5L with four cylinders. This engine's power output is 190 HP, and it cranks out up to 180 LB-FT of torque. The base engine has an eight-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission for more precise control and improved handling. The other engine available for the Santa Cruz is a turbo 2.5L with an increased power output of 275 HP and a torque output of 310 LB-FT. You can get front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. All four trims have a tow rating of 3,500 pounds and a 1,410 payload.

Safety features on the Santa Cruz include blind-spot monitoring, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and LED headlights. A more advanced blind-spot monitoring system is standard with the Limited trim.
