What's New For the 2020 Hyundai Venue?

Hyundai is soon releasing a compact, high tech vehicle, the 2020 Hyundai Venue. It's a new premium look from Hyundai and is set to debut with a variety of trims that will be the first of their kind. A beautiful, unique headlight design gives the Venue an upscale exterior, helped out by a sharp front fascia configuration that makes it, unlike any other compact SUV on the road. It's simply beautiful, and you'll find its trims bring in the best of today's advanced interior and exterior features.

What are the Available Trims and Features?

For now, we know about the SE and SEL, and there's also a Denim version that promises to be exciting. Trim information is slim on the Venue, but what we do know is that it's going to be the smallest SUV on the market, but it has a lot of width to it, making it have a more muscular appearance than its size would imply. Hyundai has officially announced the following features:

  • Vibrant and lively 8" touchscreen display
  • Two-tone color options
  • Optional 17-inch wheels
  • Rear 60/40 split fold-down
  • Optional power sunroof

Given the Venue price, we're shocked to see sunroof options and two-tone options, usually reserved for luxury sedans and hatchbacks that far outweigh the Venue in terms of cost. It's the first-ever Venue, so there's no other model to compare it, too, but for a first effort, the Venue looks like it got many things right, including an impressive powertrain.

2020 Hyundai Venue Powertrain Options

2020 Hyundai VenueA 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine is your sole option as of the date of this writing. It gives you a subtle 121 horsepower and 113 lb-ft of torque, and that's more than sufficient for an SUV of this small stature. You're going to get good power to your wheels and have smooth transitions thanks to a 6-speed manual or continuously variable automatic transmission. It's your choice. As a powertrain, this is more than enough for a vehicle of this slim price.

Safety Features in the Forefront for 2020

2020 Hyundai VenueYou won't find an economy safety menu on the Venue. It's packed with Hyundai SmartSense features that create a complete safety shield around your Venue. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, and Driver Attention Warning are all standard, with available Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist. You'll find very few economy compact SUVs that have this kind of expansive safety suite, and so if you're on the market for a low-cost compact in 2020, keep the Venue in the front of your mind. It's going to feature generous tech offerings like the 8" touchscreen, a subtle but powerful engine selection, and one of the best safety suites in the business right now in SafetySense.
