Hyundai Captures 1-2 Finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120

Hyundai recently celebrated a significant triumph at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120, securing the top two positions. This victory marked the first win of the racing season for both drivers and also supported a charitable cause, raising funds in the process.

With the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120 success, Hyundai extended its lead in the 2024 IMSA Michelin Pilot Championship (IMPC) Manufacturers' Championship. Mason Filippi and Mark Wilkins secured the victory by driving the No. 98 Hyundai Elantra N TCR. Although it was their first win, it was Hyundai's third of the season. Close behind in second place were Robert Wickens and Harry Gottsacker in the No. 33 car.

In addition to their impressive results, Hyundai debuted groundbreaking hand-control driving technology at the event, used by paraplegic driver Robert Wilkins. This advanced system enhances braking consistency, response times, and overall safety, allowing Wilkins greater control over his vehicle.

Hope on Wheels Contribution

Hyundai's victory at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 120 had a greater purpose beyond just racing. For every lap that a Hyundai Elantra N TCR led during the season, Hyundai committed to donating $100 to the charity 'Hope on Wheels.' With 67 laps led in Indianapolis, they raised $6,700 for this cause.
