With a fuel-cell model already on the market, Hyundai is now looking to expand its lineup to include both hybrid and electric cars. According to a variety of sources, the automaker is currently working on developing the models, which could begin arriving on the market within two years.
Demand for hybrid and electric cars continues to grow and Hyundai is the latest brand interested in catering to their fanbase. The automaker is said to be in the process of building a hybrid model, which will likely take its place on the market as early as 2017. Reports circulating around the industry suggest the new vehicle will arrive as a sedan and be based on the next-generation Hyundai Elantra. In addition to this, the model is expected to come equipped with a 1.6L engine as well as an electric motor.
A plug-in hybrid version of the upcoming model is also likely to be released to the public along with the standard hybrid. An all-electric model will eventually debut as well, completing Hyundai's lineup expansion. There is currently no set date as to when these models will arrive, but when they do you will be able to find them on sale at Reliable Hyundai.
