Hyundai has a new plan in motion to introduce additional advanced safety features and autonomous driving functions to its lineup by the year 2020. The automaker will begin adding a variety of fresh and updated features on both compact and high-end models this year, which will kick things off. As a top brand in the auto business, Hyundai’s goal is to offer more affordable advanced safety technologies across its roster in order to give buyers the opportunity to experience their advantages.

Hyundai is committed to the integration of new safety technologies on their vehicles and they want to complete the rollout as quickly as they can. While some functions will not be available until a few years from now, the company will continue to offer other features as soon as possible. This year, Hyundai plans on adding advanced driver assist systems to the Elantra and updated lane-keeping cruise control to high-end models. The revised feature will allow drivers to utilize the system at any speed, whereas the previous one could only be used when the vehicle hit 37 mph or above. New traffic jam assist technology is also in the works that will control steering, acceleration and braking with absolutely no help from the driver. It will be a minimum of two years before the system debuts on vehicles and another three years on top of that before Hyundai introduces fully autonomous technology.

Each of Hyundai's models equipped with all-new advanced technology will be available at Reliable Hyundai. Keep an eye out for the new tech to arrive on upcoming vehicles launching this year.
