Long distance relationships with family members can sometimes be tough to cope with, and when your dad is an astronaut for a living, keeping the lines of communication open is especially difficult. Thirteen-year-old Stephanie from Houston, Texas, knows this all too well and constantly struggle to keep in contact with her father while he's on the International Space Station. To help with this, Hyundai recently came up with a larger-than-life plan that allowed Stephanie to send a special message to her father.

Through a joint effort with experts from different parts of the world, Hyundai decided utilize 11 Genesis models to effectively write out Stephanie's message on an area of land that is one and a half times larger than Central Park. They chose Delamar Dry Lake, Nevada as their canvas and used the tire tracks of the Genesis cars to spell out the message, which measured at 5.55 km2. Due to the size and location of the message, Stephanie's dad was able to view the writing from space. Hyundai also set a Guinness World Record in the process, creating the 'largest tire track image.'

To promote the project and their 'New Thinking' platform, Hyundai has launched the 'Message to Space' campaign, which has resulted in a website where fans can learn more about the venture and create their own virtual messages to send to their loved ones. Additionally, you can view the video above to get a closer look at the message and how it was constructed.
