Buying a new car is a significant financial commitment. If you know that your vehicle will be protected after you make a purchase, you can buy a new car with more confidence and peace of mind. To give you the highest level possible of customer satisfaction, Hyundai equips its new vehicles with premium factory warranties. When you purchase a new vehicle, you will get one of the most competitive warranties in the industry for powertrain, rust protection, emissions, and more. Hyundai also provides standard coverage for its hybrid models. Warranties are also included for accessories and components, and you can get additional MPP plans through Reliable Hyundai.
Powertrain Limited Warranty
One warranty that comes standard with a new Hyundai is the Powertrain Limited Warranty. The Powertrain Limited Warranty covers the cost of repairs or replacement necessary for components in the Hyundai's powertrain. The warranty includes the transaxle components, engine, and transmission if the parts were installed or manufactured by Hyundai and are defective in material or factory workmanship, under normal use and maintenance. This coverage lasts for 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.Â
New Vehicle Limited Warranty
Hyundai's New Vehicle Limited Warranty covers the replacement or repair costs for Hyundai's components or installed if they are defective in workmanship or material. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty is effective for a total of five years or 60,000 miles. The warranty covers replacement and repair costs for the radio, paint, battery, air conditioning system, and brake components.
Anti-Perforation Warranty
For the first seven years, your new Hyundai will come with an Anti-Perforation Warranty regardless of miles driven. This warranty covers costs associated with rust holes and perforation that affect the body sheet metal. Surface corrosion is not included.
Emissions Warranty
An Emissions Warranty also covers all new Hyundai vehicles. The Emissions Warranty covers the components in the vehicle that are part of the emissions control system for the first 8 years or 80,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Hybrid Battery Warranty
New Hyundai hybrids have a battery warranty that lasts a lifetime with the original owner or up to 10 years or 100,000 miles with successive owners. This warranty includes electric, hybrid, and hybrid plug-in cars.
MPP Plans
Although Hyundai provides new car owners with a broad range of coverage through its factory warranties, you can also get supplemental coverage from Reliable Hyundai through MPP plans. MPP plans include lease wear and GAP coverage, along with extended service contracts and warranties for older Hyundai vehicles that are not covered through standard factory warranties.
