Hyundai Lands Five Vehicles on the 2026 American-Made Auto Index List by Cars.com

Cars.com included five impressive Hyundai vehicles in its 2026 American-Made Auto Index in June of 2026, celebrating outstanding American automotive design. This is the second straight year that these Hyundai models have made the cut. Anyone shopping for a new Hyundai vehicle this year will want to keep all five of these models in mind.

Five Hyundai Models Make the American-Made Auto Index

Securing a spot on this prestigious list required outperforming steep competition. Over 400 model-year 2026 vehicles were analyzed by Cars.com. Standing out among such an expansive field is no easy feat, and few manufacturers land five designs on this list. Yet, Hyundai consistently makes challenging accomplishments look effortless.

The publication designated the Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Santa Fe Hybrid, IONIQ 5, and Tucson for inclusion on the American-Made Auto Index. Each model delivers superior craftsmanship, paired with state-of-the-art driver-assistance technology and a generous array of cabin infotainment features. Operating any of these five models ensures a secure and enjoyable drive.

Randy Parker, the president and CEO of Hyundai Motor North America, took the time to say, "We are proud to have five vehicles recognized in the Cars.com American-Made index as we continue to invest in the United States and further localize our product portfolio. With $26 billion committed to U.S. investments by 2028, we remain focused on strengthening our support for the American economy while producing vehicles consumers want."

Cars.com lead researcher Patrick Masterson also commented on the accomplishment: "Hyundai had another great showing on this year's American-Made Index with five vehicles, led by the brand's top-performing EV, the IONIQ 5, taking the no. 21 spot." Automotive buyers frequently look to Cars.com as a trusted resource during vehicle research.

Each of the five Hyundai entries recorded an impressive placement. The IONIQ 5 placed 21st, the Santa Cruz captured 24th, the Tucson landed in 31st, the Santa Fe finished 33rd, and the Santa Fe Hybrid placed 81st. Surpassing hundreds of rival entries to secure a top 100 spot reflects the significance of landing on this esteemed Cars.com roster.
