It rained and it poured, but that didn't stop over 3,000 people from attending this year's Oktoberfest Village at Taste of Springfield - sponsored by Reliable at Chestnut & 65. Mother Nature made her presence known early in the day with afternoon showers, but by 6 p.m. it was clear skies and downtown Springfield was ready to rock!

Entertainment was in full gear all throughout the event with The Lucky Boys, Big Damn Heroes and JD & The Mudhounds kicking off the day's performances. The Mark Chapman Band, DJ CEO and the stellar '80s tribute band, Members Only, then got the party started as the sun went down and finished off the festivities. In between shows, attendees indulged in exquisite food from over 30 local vendors and sampled a great selection of beer, including Guinness Red Harvest Stout, Hofbrau Dunkel, Blue Moon Short Straw and the very fitting Sam Adams Oktoberfest.

The 5th Annual Oktoberfest at Taste of Springfield was an overall success and we would like to thank everyone who attended. We had a great time at this year's event and we hope to see you all again next year!
