Specs at a Glance
The Hyundai Tucson is available in six different trim levels. The Tucson SE and Value levels are two of the most popular choices. Both models offer seating for up to five passengers and a smooth, appealing sport-utility vehicle profile. Both are covered by a five-year, 60,000-mile Hyundai limited warranty and a 10-year, 100,000-mile limited warranty that covers the powertrain components.
Performance
The Tucson SE and Value are both equipped with the same 2.0L inline four-cylinder motor capable of creating just over 160 horsepower under regular operating conditions. Both feature similar suspension and braking systems, and both are capable of towing up to 1500 pounds with ease. Seventeen-inch alloy wheels come standard for both the SE and Value lines. Both also include a six-speed automatic transmission and offer all-wheel drive as an optional feature.
Appearance
The interior and exterior dimensions of the SE and Value versions are identical. The passenger cabins of both models are furnished with comfortable, cloth-upholstered seating and offer almost 40 inches of headroom. Both incorporate more than 30 cubic feet of cargo space that increases to nearly 62 cubic feet when the split rear seat is fully lowered. The SE and Value trim also offer the same exterior color choices and interior color schemes and styling.
Features
The SE and Value models differ slightly when it comes to safety features and cosmetic and convenience amenities. Blind-spot and rear cross-traffic warning systems come standard on the Value model, while electronic stability control and frontal-collision avoidance are standard on both. Both models feature durable structural reinforcement, anti-theft protection and numerous child-safety features. The Value line also offers special LED accent lighting, roof rails and power windows as standard equipment.
