Now in its fourth generation, the Hyundai Santa Fe gets a significant uplift for the 2020 model year. With high marks in fuel efficiency, ride quality, and tech features—in addition to a robust warranty unmatched by any other automaker—the Santa Fe is perhaps the midsize crossover SUV that gives you the most bang for your buck. You can go with either the base-level SE model or the loaded, top-level Limited trim.

Performance

Typically, the 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe is powered by a 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder engine (I4), which produces 185 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. However, if you go with the Limited, you have the choice of going with a leaner and more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged I4, or 2.0T, which provides 235 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The 2.0T is your choice if you want improved acceleration ability. However, if you desire the vehicle's peak fuel economy of 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, stick with the 2.4-liter.

Appearance

The 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe possesses unibody high strength steel construction. With its relatively light feel and low center of gravity, the Santa Fe is less susceptible to rollover and offers a smoother ride. At the base level, the crossover is decently equipped: with a rear windshield wiper, LED-accented automatic projector halogen headlights, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
