Specs at a Glance
Stylish and practical, the Elantra has been a popular choice among those needing a new sedan for many years. With six different trim levels, drivers have many options when it comes to picking out the right model for their lives. Let's take an in-depth look at two of the options to see which one may be more appealing for you.
Performance
One thing that these two trims have in common is their engine. Both are powered by a 2.0L inline four-cylinder engine that will be able to produce 147-horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque for drivers. They both also utilize an Intelligent Variable Transmission and come with front wheel drive. Those who want a slightly more powerful engine should take a look at the Sport trim, while those who want even more impressive fuel economy should try out the Eco.
Appearance
The two different trim levels of the Elantra look very similar. Examining them very closely will reveal a few differences, such as the Limited trim upgrading the daytime running lights to LED. Similarly, the Limited trim has LED headlights and taillights. The SEL trim uses projector lights instead.
Features
Whether you choose the SEL or the Limited version of the Elantra, you will find a great vehicle choice for the whole family. The SEL trim level has popular features such as a 7-inch touchscreen to run its infotainment system, which is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also gives you things such as dual-zone automatic climate control, USB ports, and a six-speaker audio system. Safety-wise, it has a driver attention monitor, lane-keep assist, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. The SEL is also the first trim to add a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.
If you are looking for luxury, consider the Limited trim. It adds tech upgrades such as an eight-speaker premium audio system and wireless device charging. You also get power-adjustment for the driver's seat and luxurious leather seats and a sunroof. As for driver aids, it adds adaptive cruise control along with pedestrian detection.
