The 2017 Hyundai Sonata has achieved top honors from U.S. News & World Report, after recently winning the “Best Midsize Car for the Money” award.
The national publication recognized the five-passenger sedan for its top-notch styling and roomy cabin that packs a wide range of high-tech features. This marks the second time in three years that a Hyundai vehicle has won the accolade.
“The recognition by U.S. News & World Report highlights out commitment to providing better for our customers,” said Brandon Ramirez, senior group manager, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America.
Available in Base, SE, Sport, Eco, Limited, Sport 2.0T and Limited 2.0T trims, the 2017 Sonata has something for everyone. Standard, the car gets dressed with 16-inch alloys, a rear lip spoiler, heated mirrors, Bluetooth, satellite radio, a USB port and an auxiliary audio input.

There are three four-cylinder engine options. A 2.4-liter four-cylinder that makes 185 horses and 178 pound-feet of torque motivates the base, SE, Sport and Limited trims. For more power, go with a 2.0T model, which also gets a 2.4-liter four, but makes 245 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The greenest powertrain of the bunch is found in the Eco trim, employing a 1.6-liter turbo that produces 178 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque.
