Each year we see popular car brands add new models to their lineup and axe others that they just don't have room for anymore. Sometimes it's a necessary practice in order to bring in fresh additions, and for 2015, Hyundai has done just that with the Elantra Coupe. The model has officially been removed from the automaker's U.S. lineup for 2015 without any word as to whether it will return in the future. The news comes as a surprise to many, but as of now, the coupe will still be available in Canada.
The Hyundai Elantra Coupe made its debut on the market in 2012 as a suitable companion to the standard Hyundai Elantra sedan. Its latest 2014 model boasts a spacious cabin, sport-tuned suspension, a large trunk and a new 2.0L four-cylinder engine. With its exclusion from the 2015 U.S. lineup, it will leave one less model in the entry-level two-door segment, which currently includes the Honda Civic, Scion tC and Kia Forte Coupe. However, if you'd like to purchase the Coupe before it's gone, you can still stop by Reliable Hyundai and test-drive one of our 2014 models in stock now - we hope to see you soon!
