The Car Book recently released the 34th edition of their car guide, where they awarded the 2014 Hyundai Sonata and Santa Fe with their respected "Best Bets" title. Both cars each received exceptional praise for their performance and safety features, making them the perfect pair to be presented with the publication's honor. This is also the fourth year the Sonata has been given the award, which acknowledges its consistency.

"While Hyundai's vehicles can be tailored to suit a customer's lifestyle, there are two aspects that should never be overlooked: safety and standard features," said Scott Margason, director, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. "Hyundai is committed to catering to the changing needs of our customers, and receiving the 'BEST BETS' accolade acknowledges our ability to deliver high quality vehicles across our entire lineup."

The Hyundai Sonata and Santa Fe were judged in nine individual areas before being selected for The Car Book's "Best Bets" award, which included insurance costs, warranty, fuel economy, repair cost, maintenance, rollover, crash tests, safety features and customer complaints. All new vehicles qualified for the award had to receive high marks in these areas to be considered a true "Best Bet," and both Hyundai models were instant frontrunners.
