The new year has just begun and Hyundai is already receiving awards for its outstanding 2014 models. Cars.com recently held their 2014 Lifestyle Awards and announced the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport as the "Family Car of the Year!"
Complete with sophisticated technology features, a slew of amenities and updated safety functions, such as Blind Spot Detection, Electronic Stability Control and rear parking assistance, the Santa Fe Sport was a clear winner in the eyes of the staff over at Cars.com.
"With loads of high-tech and luxurious features packed in at a very competitive price, it would be hard for financially-savvy and tech-appreciative families to pass over the Santa Fe Sport," said Kristin Varela, Cars.com's Chief Mom. "Our team of editors took note and voted this small crossover right to the top."
The Santa Fe may have earned the top honor, but first, it did have to qualify as a Best Bet to even be considered for the prestigious title. Once the SUV passed the test, which included displaying a strong ride and handling, producing average or better gas mileage in its segment, having a reliability rating of average or higher and receiving an Acceptable or higher rating in crash tests for the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety, it was a shoe-in for the standout award.
